The upcoming 60 Years: A Black & White Charity Gala is a special anniversary celebration and fundraising event for the Junior League of Ogden and our many community projects.
Founded in 1953, the inaugural class of the Junior League of Ogden included the names Kiesel, Lindquist, Nye, Peery, Pingree, Scowcroft, Wattis, Becker, Bennion, Browning, Dee, Eccles, Glassman, and Goddard amongst others.
At the anniversary celebration sponsored by Stephen G. and Susan E. Denkers Family Foundation, guests will enjoy dinner featuring local food, hosted bar, entertainment and a live/silent auction while we pay tribute to our founding members and celebrate JLO’s accomplishments over the past 60 years.
For the last 60 years, the Junior League of Ogden has continually adapted its work to meet the changing needs of the community, all the while training WOMEN as VOLUNTEERS and LEADERS, which in turn has generated a lasting impact in our community and our world.
As a League, we’re serious about combating the epidemic of childhood obesity that is raging in all developed countries, and right here in our community. Each year the Junior League of Ogden holds a Kids in the Kitchen event to teach local school-age children about nutrition and making healthy lifestyle choices.
