OASIS COMMUNITY
GARDEN
Mission
To Improve the community by targeting issues of food equity through education and access to fresh produce and providing a garden for individuals to gather, grow, teach, and learn.
About
The 1.7-acre garden is located at 2445 Monroe Blvd. and features open space, a Learning Pavilion, teaching gardens, ADA and elder friendly raised beds, traditional
community garden plots, two garden sheds, fruit trees, a dry stream bed, seasonal restroom enclosure, lighting, paved pathway, and a gathering area for group functions.
All of these improvements have been made possible through generous financial and in-kind contributions from the community, including the Weber County Recreation, Arts, Museums & Parks program (RAMP).
Get Involved
There are several ways to get involved in the Oasis Garden.
Plots are available to community members to purchase for a season. You may also sponsor a plot, which will get donated to a community member in need. Garden plots are available starting at $25/plot for the growing season. Your plot fee includes water and access to garden tools during open garden hours.
For information about the upcoming growing season, volunteering in the garden, or if you have an organization or large group that is interested in sponsoring or performing service work, please email the Garden Coordinator at oasis@juniorleagueogden.org
Financial assistance is also available, please contact oasis@juniorleagueogden.org for more information.
